Mathis, once again you are right on the money. Your description of the 
problem is exactly what I have (how it sounds when I shake the pb). I 
guess the only solution is going to be that I will have to learn to take 
the pb apart myself.

So, can anyone suggest a site, book, instructions, etc., that I can 
access in order to learn how to take this thing apart. The computer is a 
Powerbook 2400c (I mention the model of my comp because Mathis mentions a 
problem (see below) with a 2400 and then he refers to a 2400c).
