First off I was under the impression that the modem card in the Duo Dock
only had lines coming from the modem card in the Dock to the modem card in
the Duo itself. So the modem card in the dock really depends on the
existance of a modem card in the Duo.
I know I read a feature length article in a Macworld or a MacUser
that profiled Nubus 100 Base-T ethernet cards in first generation
PowerMacs against 100 Base-T PCI cards in first generation PCI PowerMacs.
I think the article may have been in a 1996 issue of a MacWorld, but I an
not sure. Of course this only helps if you have a Duo Dock. Since it was
so long ago I would have no idea how to purchase a Nubus 100 Base-T card
now.
