Thanks to the list for your ideas so far for my 2300 that won't start,
My dilemma, as you'll recall, was this:

>This weekend, my Duo 2300 began to refuse to start. When the top power
>button is pressed, I can hear slight sound from the speaker, but
nothing
>comes on screen, no startup sound, and no spinning of the hard disk.
>This is the same whether plugged in (with battery or not) or running on

>the battery. The caps lock key will light in this state. The machine
>won't power down except when the back power/interrupt switch is
pressed.
>I've tried a power manager reset, but with no visible response or
>change.
>
>I installed a RAM upgrade about a week or two prior, but it has run
>without incident until now.

So far, I've now tried re-seating the RAM (in case it was loose) and
starting from the back power button. Unfortunately, my results (or lack
thereof) have remained consistent.

More wisdom? I'm so clueless...
