No. Yes. No and no.

8 bits = 1 byte
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte (1K)
1024K = 1 megabyte (1MB)
1024MB = 1 gigabyte (1GB)

Local Talk is 230.4K p/s or 230.4 x 1024 (bytes in a Kilobyte) = 235,929.6 bytes x
8 (bits in a byte) = 1,887,436.8 bits or 1.8 megabits.
