Is anyone using theGriffin Technology NE Mic audio adapter?

I would like to get the Via Voice working on my G3/240 PB 2400.

Notes:
"The Griffin Technology NE Mic audio adapter allows the use of a wide
range of microphone input devices on Macintosh computers. The NE Mic is
compatible with most unpowered microphones with a 3.5 mm stereo or mono
jack. It works by amplifying the 'mic-level' signal that most microphones
output and converting it to the Mac's 'line-level' signal commonly used
by professionals in the audio industry."

The 2400c's audio-input plug is a standard stereo miniplug that takes
line-level signals. Although Apple says that its Omni microphone
(included with desktop systems) will work with the 2400c, the output
level is too low for satisfactory results.
