This is what I was afraid I would have to do. So, does anybody have one
they would like to sell? I bought this dock for my wife to use, but,
without being able to use the modem, it's useless. I suppose I could get
her a newer, faster external modem, but...... :-)

dear jon
i may have what you need--a very small grey box called the Apple Express
Modem DAA (Model Number M1413). it has the 8-pin apple-logoed connector on
the one end and the standard RJ-11 phone jack on the other, to which you
attach your RJ-11-to-local-phone-line jack adaptor. i have one for british
phones, but i wonder if theyd be any good in poland, since theyre supposed
to be country-specific. also, i havent been able to get it to work with my
duos (not that ive tried too hard--ive just treated it like an ordinary
modem, using apple express software-but it wont dial in). id have no
problem selling it to you (or trading it for something) if you thought it
would do you any good, but it seems to me that youd still be better off
with that external modem.
any advice from other listers on how to run this doohickey would be
appreciated.
jose (from the philippines, temporarily in the uk)
