I had the same proble conecting me imac to my 6100.  Here is something to
try:  Click once on the Imac hard drive.  then Go yo get info.  there is a
little popmenu and switch it to sharing.  click the box that says share this
item.  Then on all the other little pop-up menus select read and write all
the way done the column.  this should let you do anything you need to do
