The other nice thing about 7.1 is that its so customizable. Features of 7.6
(if one wants them) can easily be manually added ; e.g. Quicktime 2.5 or 3.0,
Open Transport 1.1.2, Open Transport PPP 1.0, SuperClock, etc. Even
some applications that claim 7.6.1 is required like Netscape 4.08 will install
and run fine on a 7.1 machine if one installs the CFM Runtime Enabler 4.0
and Object Support Lib 1.2 extensions.
