It's a real pain in the ass, much worse than putting a hard drive in a
desktop Mac. You'll have to take out about 30 screws and pretty much
every part since the HD goes under the motherboard. If your friend has
specifically worked on 2400s before (or at least some of the other
difficult PowerBooks), then it's cool. Otherwise, I'd spend the money to
get MCE or someone who's done it before (if you're in AZ, I'll do it for
some food) to install it for you - it can be scary.
