I recently bought an Interware G3/320 upgrade from MCE and a 12 GB
Travelstar hard drive from buy.com (used a coupon).

The Interware manual, while in Japanese, had fantastic pictures detailing
the disassembly and reassembly of the PB 2400. It is certainly not for
the faint of heart. There were many screws, ribbon cables attached to the
motherboard, little module thingies that I had to pull off the
motherboard, etc. A very delicate operation. I nearly had a heart attack
when I accidentally stripped a screw (not completely, thank goodness).

The machine survived. After pressing the reset button on the back panel,
I booted from my portable Sony 6x CD-ROM drive, partitioned the drive
into 4 partitions, re-installed Mac OS, and re-installed my applications
and data. Along with my Lucent WaveLan card, this machine rocks! I only
wish my battery lasted longer than 90 minutes.
