Thats what*they* SAY. . . but, as an airline captain, I have been taking
various and sundry PowerBooks into and out of numerous countries -
without the Security Nazis ever asking Vat is on your computer, Comrade?

All the high-school drop-outs at airport Security ever want to see is if you
can fire that sucker up, to prove it is not a bomb. I have never been able to
figure THAT logic out, as any smart terrorist could build one that starts up
like a real computer. (g)

I have found a neat little (49K) Extension, called Airport QuickStart, that
every traveling PowerBook owner MUST have ! If you are unfamiliar, you
set up pre-programed keys (like CMD-Option), which you hold down
immediately after pressing the ON switch and it prematurely puts
up the MacOS logo, as if the PB is well into its Start-up routine, thereby
saving lots of time in Airport Security.

At any rate, I would imagine that the borders, as far as transporting lots of
proprietary and high security stuff, are all but non-existent, and there is
certainly no system in place to keep it from moving from country to
country, regardless of what THEY say.
