I don't fly anyone but I get flown a lot. My 2400c has been through airport
x-ray machines all over the world for nearly 2 years and a 3400, 500c and
170 for many years before that, all with no ill effects. In the last 6-9
months I've not been asked to turn it on, occasionally chemically "sniffed"
though, but before then I was asked to turn it on virtually every time
through security--I always kept it in sleep mode to speed things up.
