If we do go with different denominations along these lines, I'd strongly suggest having only two or, at an outside, three different named denoinations. I'd go with two different denominations, with 100 of the smaller making up the larger, since that's what people are used to (cent/dollar, penny/pound, and so on). That would also allow us to peg the smaller denomination to be worth approximately $0.01 and the larger to be worth approximately $1, which I think would very much help people internalise just how much things cost.
