Thanks zvi. Time for embarrassing confessions. Re the lack of link to the profiles - the Journal I was looking at had changed the stylesheet and there was no 'head' icon next to the username. I *knew* what I was seeing looked odd, but until you pointed it out, I had completely blanked on the lack of head icons. It would have been a while before I realised what was missing...
And yes, when I select 'light style', I can see heads, and access the profiles. Sorry for the confusion! And thanks for pointing it out to me, and clarifying on the merge OpenID/DW account issue. You might want to follow up on that with domtheknight (she gets bug reports.)
