I have a possible workaround that works here.... Interestingly, the Alt-S works if the focus is on the Main Window... Where the file menu is...
If You avoid Alt-S and use the File - Save menu... It seems to save reliably... It might be useful if those who have duplicated the problem could verify if this is the case with their computers also... If this is the case... I would recommend that anyone using XP, Win2000 (not ME) and possibly NT avoid the Alt-B and Alt-S shortcuts until the problem is resolved... Since I noticed that under some conditions they work, and sometimes they fail... Remember... If it fails with Alt-S you lose any changes to the file since the last backup...
