Each time you do something on a tab, you have to go to that tab's menu and "update" what you did into the database. Until you update, nothing is saved.
Click on the Mappings tab. It will be blank. Then click on the Mappings menu. Then click add. You should now see a new blank data entry box in the mapping tab.
