This limitation is also the reason DX4Win is so fast... so it's a 
trade-off. It's not a bug... it's a design choice ;-)

Now that computers are much faster than when D4W was initially 
designed... I'm sure Paul could mitigate this behaviour... I can think 
of a few ways to do it... but it does seem that this new release has 
addressed the issues that have generated a lot of discussion in the 
past. There hasn't been a lot of complaint about this, though I agree it 
is an annoying quirk.
