Thanks Jim.

I am aware of this method of matching LOTW records to DX4WIN. I did mention
in one of my emails that DX4WIN makes LOTW record tracking very easy and
wished there was an easy way to do the same for IOTA.

I did not realize that I might be able to use your APP and DX4WLOTW pgm for
IOTA. I will print out the instructions and follow them just substituting
IOTA where LOTW is mentioned.

I have so many IOTA marked as S Submitted because I went thru my log and
selected QSL's that clearly show the name of the island and the IOTA number.
For example when I do a F8 search for NA-002, 224 QSO's show up so I chose
one where the QSL card clearly shows all the info the IOTA card checker
needs. The IOTA checkers are pretty strict that all the info is shown. The
QSL's I intended to submit I marked with an S (to be submitted) for a grand
total of 517 ready to be checked by an IOTA card checker. I had 250 cards
(the limit I was given) checked at Visalia and 249 were approved. But I have
not yet gone back into DX4WIN and changed those 249 IOTA approved cards from
an S to C. That is what I was hoping to do with a program rather than having
to do a F8 for each RSGB approved call/IOTA and manually change it from S to
C. For example I have BS7H, AS-116, confirmed on DX4WIN on 5 modes/bands.
But IOTA only needs for you to work AS-116 once for credit. The .csv
download file from the IOTA website does not show what band/mode I have
credit for but does show the date and time so I have to a F8 search by
call/date/time (BS7H, 04/30/2007, 1552Z) and mark that QSO as a C. To do
that with all the 249 IOTA's approved on the RSGB .csv list is going to be
very time consuming and I will have to do the same after each future
submission. If it would help I could send you the RSGB IOTA accepted .csv
file.

I will save my k7acz.dxl file to a separate back up HD before I start
experimenting with the DX4WLOTW pgm in case I really mess things up. Is
there anything else I should also back up?

Thanks again for your help. Hope to see you at Visalia again this year.

IOTA mixed and in the Action field select Submitted -> Checked. This will
change ALL the S to C. But not all my IOTA's have been processed or approved
so some will have to remain as S until they are approved. Right now I have a
total of 517 IOTA's confirmed in my DX4WIN log. I have 249 credited or
approved in the RSGB IOTA website database with 6 pending from 2012 IOTA
Contest. In DX4WIN all 517 IOTA's still show S because I have not gone thru
and manually changed them. I can't change them ALL from S to C because I
still have 262 IOTA's outstanding that I have not as yet submitted for
credit to RSGB.

Hi Alan,

Sorry, I've been too busy to follow all of this thread. I'm sure you have
read this:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/dxcc.html

The IOTA award flags should work exactly the same. Is there some reason you
can not follow this same methodology with IOTA? When you generate the
submission, you can then filter on the IOTA award flags
(F8) then output the submitted credits in whatever format you need, either
by exporting ADIF, or using the Logbook window with the desired fields.

I don't understand why you have so many IOTA marked as Submitted, when, as
you claim, you "have not as yet submitted for credit to RSGB." Maybe you'd
be better off clearing out all the IOTA award flags, then only setting the
ones for which you have received credit to "C". 249 is less than (517-249)
which you'd now have to "unsubmit".
