Dave,

Using Windows XP's Device Manager and looking under Ports, what are the
configurations that XP set up? Is Device Manager telling you that card
is running properly or not?

Have you tried changing the configuration of the ports using the Device
Manager; especially if the IRQ and I/O configurations on the card are
'hard wired.'

Subject: [DXBase] DX2002/Win XP and Intek21 PCI io 2S-550 Serial Ports

Hi Folks

I think I saw some correspondence re this recently but am unable to
locate
it. Briefly I have a new computer with Windows XP. Installed DX2002
and the
Intek card to give me two additional serial ports.

This all worked well on previous machines utilising Win 98 and Win ME
but Win
XP has allocated the addresses for Com 4 and Com 5 as DC00 and E000
respectively and refers to them as PCI Serial 16550 Ports.

Despite changing the address in thee Registry for DXB98 Comm 5 to E000
it
still doesn't work.

Anybody succesfully solved this problem or similar one please.

73's Dave. G3SBP.
