I am successfully using the new W5XD Multi-Keyer with WriteLog, the contesting program. However with DXBase it does not work, and in fact when typing some CW into DXBase the program locks up, apparently awaiting I/O completion.
The MultiKeyer uses a single COM port to both do radio control and CW generation, and I am using COM1 at 9600. I suspect the problem could be that DXBase supports the old W5XD keyer, not the new W5XD Multi-Keyer. The WriteLog program supports both the old and the new, and if I set WriteLog for the old keyer, then it does not work with WriteLog either. But if anyone has gotten DXBase2002 to work with the W5DX Multi-Keyer please let me know. If a change is needed in DXBase, then I will have to rely upon Jack to put this in the next release?
