Jim: Yes, I am using the data file from RAC, which is on my C drive.
After thinking about your comments, I changed user options to disable the C drive reference to RAC and, voila!, all the information, including the beam heading, appears properly! So your theory is correct. Guess there is no way to prevent this from happening so long as the database is active.
