[DXBase] Copy question ?

I have a dumb question but please regard the source. :) :) I am developing 
a batch file
to backup all my data in DXBase but my directories contain spaces. Here is 
a example.

copy C:/Ham/DXBase 2004/*.ini G:\DXBase 2004 Backups\*.ini

This command does not work due to the spaces. Is there a work around short 
of renaming
the directories ?

I am using XP Pro for the operating system. I thought I had to name 
directories longer than
eight characters such as this ?  DXBase~1 instead of DXBase 2004 ?
