Here is an example from my backup batch file: copy "C:\Program files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2004\*.CO" E:\DXbBak4\ copy "C:\Program files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2004\*.mdb" E:\DXbBak4\ copy "C:\Program files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2004\*.ini" E:\DXbBak4\ copy "C:\Program files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2004\tools.dat" E:\DXbBak4\ copy C:\WINDOWS\DXB2004.ini E:\DXbBak4\ copy C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts E:\DXbBak4\
I think in your example it should be like the following: copy "C:/Ham/DXBase 2004/*.ini" "G:\DXBase 2004 Backups\" Give it a try, I have not tried one like yours with the long folder name in the destination. Notice I added ".s to take care of the long file names ALSO dropped the *.ini at the end, as this is not needed. 73 de Tony, KD4K My Weather Page http://home.adelphia.net/~tonycash/ My Ham Radio Page http://home.adelphia.net/~tonycash/kd4k/radio.html Sawnee Mountain (WB4GQX 147.15 +.600) Repeater Page http://home.adelphia.net/~tonycash/sawnee/index.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Al Bailey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2004 5:52 PM Subject: [DXBase] Copy question ? > I have a dumb question but please regard the source. :) :) I am developing > a batch file > to backup all my data in DXBase but my directories contain spaces.
