I don't quite understand this. If I put in VU4RBI (WHICH I have NOT worked), the Summary shows a SP distance of 14077.9 klics and a LP distance of 8749.4 miles.
If 14077.9 kilometer = 8,747.6015072 miles that would put VU4 almost exactly on the other side of the world for me. But seeing as how VU4 is NORTH of the equator, this doesn't seem right. DXAtlas closely matches the SP distance saying it's 8549 miles but reports a LP distance of 16,308. Add the two together and they are close to the approximate circumference of the Earth. I checked the lat and long in the DXBase Tools and they are a close match for what DXAtlas reports. So Jack, Courtney, break out your slide rules (you still have them don't you) and tell me where I'm wrong. (don't worry, I'm used to it, my wife reminds me numerous times a day). ----------------------------------------------------- I installed a skylight in my apartment...The people who live above me are furious! -- Steven Wright ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland
