You are right....
But the E-Gold economy is quite big, so it might be of interest for some new
merchants to explore this "market". If E-Gold is doing a 1 billion $
turnover per year and is growing and has its "meshigeners" (-:)) (fans) then
merchants should look at it.

The merchants wants you (us) as their clients even if it costs more on their
payments fees.
