Yes, it is terrible and unconstitutional and very un-American altogether... BUT it is still worth pointing out that they only subpoenaed records of transactions carried out WITHIN the US. To take our Maestro card for example, yes some deep-down processing is done in Florida but the actual transaction records are kept safely offshore in St Vincent and the actual ID copies of cardholders are kept in yet another jurisdiction. That would take 2 extra subpoenas in unusual jurisdictions to get at. So even though our card is not anonymous, it offers much better privacy IMHO. Plus the advantage that by NOT being anonymous it doesn't attract the same attention :) For those who are not familiar with our Maestro cards, check http://e-fidex.com and click on "Accounts and Cards". We also supply cards in bulk for membership groups etc. Regards Nick Fidex --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
