I also try to avoid any email list these days which includes my email

Craig, are you saying the archives of this list display e-addresses? Or are folks grabbing e-addresses as members?

I am a recovering list junkie who at one time was on 135 lists (it's a great way to keep your hands on the pulse of business -- but therapy helped -;). Where I ran into problems was list servers that posted the e-addresses. I hope that's not the case here. They should be crippled so automatic e-mail extractors don't get them.

And I agree with your comments on password and too many lines. Either make the list moderated or free form and let members moderate themselves. Lists I am on now go both ways. If somebody spams, they are dropped immediately, after getting bombed from list members. On other lists (including 13 of my own) they are moderated in digest form, and serve as an information resource, not a discussion forum.

And if y'all do get my list password, it is only for this list.

George
