Paypal has some wonderful features for auctions though and given that ebay 
now owns Paypal they won't let anyone else do it I imagine unless e-gold 
paid them a lot.

Such as automatically adding payment links to any auctions you create each 
night, and many other inter connected features.

Also with credit card and bank account funding built in paypal really 
combines market makers and the currency all into one.

Don't get me wrong - I prefer e-gold but for the general mass Paypal seems 
to have many advantages.
