Then you could make revocable charges to your heart's content, even using US dollar denominations, and even with merchants who knew nothing about e-gold. But when it came time to pay your balance, you could ONLY pay with e-gold.

Seems like a good deal for the issuer of the credit card. They might even be able to offer a lower interest rate to compensate for funding fees. Their reduced risk and paperwork might allow them to do that.
