I have two replies to that: 

As far as the shippable product is concerned, we actually do hope that there's 
a (maybe slightly chubby) gazelle hiding in the elephant's shadow, which only 
needs to be lured out.

And on a more serious note, this is meant as an experiment to see how far 
Eclipse can be pushed into the direction of these leaner tools, where there are 
gaps or roadblocks to be solved, and also where the limits are for that. Using 
Notepad++, Atom, vs.code and the like as a compass, and rethinking an Eclipse 
solution from the ground up step by step seemed like the best way for us to do 
this, instead of going through everything the full-fledged IDE brings and 
trying to sort that out.
