correct, though that's not gentoo's way ;-)

yep the bug for sending the DSP 3 times is due to hotplug, as long as
"more works", it's not better, but it works...

fine
we still have to find the problem though, changing kernel is not for the
newbie :-( Thanksfully it does not seem to happen for too many kernel
(anyone else testing ?).
I will have only limited access to internet this week-end (56 kbits/s at
most :-( )

See you monday evening for preparation of 2.0.0 official release (still
need answers about OPTNxx values though...). Enjoy.
