Florent Guillaume commented on NXP-3800:
----------------------------------------
None of our users know emacs these days.
They're used to the metaphors of toolbars, or menus (which hide the UI yes, but
if it's for an action you don't invoke every 30s that's all right).
> Redesign the theme editor UI to support many themes

> In the current theme editor interface it is difficult to manage many themes
> at once. The reason is that the editor's interface was designed to manage 1
> to 3 themes.
> Some objects are global (available to all themes, e.g. global presets) and
> others are specific to a theme (named styles, presets) It is difficult to
> see the difference.
> Top of the screen:
> - The idea is to use the top buttons for global actions, and to add a toolbar
> at the bottom of the screen for theme specific actions.
> Not all themes will be opened from the start. An "Choose theme" button will
> be used to load themes.
> Main screen area:
> - "undo" / "redo" buttons are added to the interface
> Footer:
> - The theme actions are: save, restore, export, manage styles, manage presets.
> - The page selection tabs are moved to the bottom of the screen (as in MS
> Excel)
> - The status messages and the theme actions are moved to the bottom too.
