Dear Lawrence, Your email peaked my interest/curiosity so I went ahead and googled the terms and found out that they are TMarked by UToronto - http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/business-designtm-examined-at-rotman-mba-business-conference-75850957.html
"Business Design(TM): The New Competitive Weapon......Business design proposes an integrative model where the solutions to challenging problems are achieved in a collaborative and cross functional manner......Integrative Thinking and Business Design are registered trademarks of the Rotman School of Management." So what happens if we write papers that use these terms? Can we theoretically be sued or will we/our publishing outlets have to pay royalties to UT? In a funnier sense, it reminds me of Luck Kellaway of the FT's (sub)alter-ego from a few years back - Martin Lukes - and his Creovation(tm) trademark - http://wikibin.org/articles/creovation.html.
