We need to bring the rath of public opinion down upon the builders and buyers of
McMansions, as was recommended by author Brian Czech, in his book "Shoveling Fuel for
a Runaway Train." They are natural resource liquidators. They are using more than
their share and their lifestyle is not sustainable, nor is it extendable to the
majority of the world's citizens. Their wealth is almost certain to involve the
exploitation of impoverished people struggling to survive in developing nations. They
are hastening the depletion of nonrenewable resources and accelerating the harvest of
wood, our only renewable building material. Better that they spend their wealth on
organic produce, renewable energy, innovative alternative fuel transportation and
charity.
