This company currently employs approximately 150 people and their
connexions group is looking for qualified professionals on the technical
and business side of the house.  The EDI Technical Analyst role reads as
follows:
Job Description:
As a member of the Messaging and Interface Team, the ECM Technical
Analyst may be responsible for:

* Testing and certification of new trading partners
* Participating in the creation and maintenance of X12, EDIFACT and XML
standards and specifications
* Administration of the technical ECM tools and environment.
* Development of EC/EDI application components (including C++ programs,
Win batch Programs, XML, UNIX scripts and more)
* Maintaining and implementing X12, XML standards and specifications
* ECM Translation mapping (Production fixes and enhancements)
* Daily EC Messaging monitoring/troubleshooting of messages
* Supporting the EC Messaging production environment
* Working as a liaison with the Celarix Technical and Business Community
on new functionality as it pertains to the messaging environment.

Accomplishing these tasks will require working closely with the internal
Technical and Client Services Teams as well as our client service
providers.
The ECM Technical Analyst position is a full time position that requires
little to no travel.
Candidate Requirements
* Must be familiar with GXS Enterprise/AI or other UNIX based
translation engine i.e. IPNET/Mercator
* Ability to write SQL, Oracle scripts of medium-to-high complexity
* Applied knowledge of a 3GL - preferably C/C++/Java
* Knowledge of scripting language (Winbatch, UNIX Shells i.e. Korn,
Bourne, C, Perl)
* Knowledge of any SGML subset a plus (HTML,XML,etc.)
* Solid technical experience in a UNIX environment a must (i.e. FTP,
Daemons, File systems, SMTP,  preferably in a Sun Solaris environment)
* Working knowledge of Transportation messages such as 100, 200, 300,
400 X12 series including the 856.
* Working knowledge of Windows NT.
* Communications methods (FTP, SMTP S/MIME, VAN)
Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree Required

The EDI Business Analyst role reads as follows:
Job Description:
The Professional Services Department is looking for an organized, detail
oriented EC business analysts to add to a newly formed department
responsible for understanding the Clients’ business requirements and
communicating the requirements to all necessary internal and external
parties via spec, paper map and verbal interaction.  In addition, the
Business Analysts will work with the appropriate resources to certify
the trading partners on each specific interface.

Responsibilities:
o Act as the primary contact to external trading partners on behalf of
the client
o Provide EDI knowledge to the Implementation and Client Services
departments
o Develop functional paper maps between the trading partners’
specifications and the application
o Develop EDI specifications for trading partner using spec creation
software
o Communicate trading partner status throughout the professional service
department
o Document trading partner progress with regular updates
o Certify trading partner test messages by reviewing raw EDI and xml
o Develop working relationships with trading partners on behalf of our
company

 Requirements:
o 2 plus years logistics based functional EDI experience. Proprietary,
x12 or EDIFACT standards
o Organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects
o Detailed oriented
o Creative problem solving skills
o Customer facing experience with a customer first attitude
o Ability to be self-motivated
o Ability to functionally map and translate formatted files
o Understanding of the international or domestic logistics process
including the flow of product, documentation and information
o Working knowledge of x12 message sets- 210, 214 domestic trucking, -
301, 315 ocean carriers, - 850, 870 purchase orders and- 856 ASN’s
o Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
o Experience with in the Retail or Consumer Electronics industries
o High level understanding of xml
o Excellent interpersonal skills
