In my experience, the 997 reflects the Standard only but may be used as the
partners agree.  An 824 Application Advice more commonly is used to reflect
IG issues which are inherently application issues.  I have never seen dual
997s sent.  The purpose of the 997 is to advise of successful receipt OR
syntax errors.  It is unrelated to the business application.
