My comments are:
1. What is a definition of "EDI System"? Are you talking about just receiving e.g.
PO's and printing them out and then keying in invoice data? If so, then costs for a
PC translator could be under $1000.00. Van charges depend on volume of data sent and
received. For a small trading partner, costs could be under $200.00 per month.
2. If you are wanting to receive PO's in and automatically process them to do
processing such as validating prices, quantity available, shipping dates, etc., then
what is your consulting costs for integrating these two systems (translator and
back-end system). And then having this system automatically generate invoices back is
additional.
