Gentran Scaling

Has anybody out there attempted to do any scaling metrics for Gentran/NT.   I am trying to predict hardware requirements for scaling inbound transactions from ground zero to up to 4 gig a month within a year.  The inbound volume is spread out over the month and the mapping is relatively simple.  I have talked to Sterling support and they have no information on scaling.
