Fortunately the donor centers in NYC are filled to capacity, and here in
Seattle/Bellevue there was a three-hour wait. From what I hear, blood can
only be stored for so long, so it might be good to call your local donor
center first and see what their needs are. I'm trying for an appt. next
week.
I'm also hearing of people going to the airports and offering to put up
stranded travellers.
