I'll echo the sentiment of some of the posters regardng the ASN, and it's
content.

I remember getting similair chargebacks, and upon investigation finding that we
had put the wrong DTM in our documents. Our software had the option of auto
generating the DTM, but we didn't use that because we'd often electronically
"pack" the ASN and get it ready for transmission days before the product
shupped. When out ASN tech went to send it, the software would prompt her for
the date, and she'd sometimes "fumble finger" it. Thatis, put in the wrong date.

Kmart is infamous for dropping the trailers in the yard and actually receiving
the contents some days later. It could be that although your data is correct and
on-time, when they process the truck is the time-frame they use.Since that is
out of your control and not an EDI issue, I would document the transmission
time of the ASN and the time they picked it up at the VAN and the date/time you
received the FA. If the ASN is there within the timeframe it's not late, if
they ack it as being correct and generate a valid FA then the problem is
between the sales/shipping/ delivery dept. IMO, Kmart is not worth selling to.
Far too many deductions and time/money spent fighting them to justify the
sales. Good luck.Bob--- On Wed 06/25, Donna Hutt Stapfer Bell < [EMAIL

CHARGEBACK'S

Sympathies. Here are a couple of things I've found across most of my trading
partners that you might check -A lot of applications out there are looking at
your data to make the late determination, long before reality sets in. To wit -
check your DTM values inside your documents vs. the ISA creation dates. Look
like you shipped one day and sent ASNs the next? Also, K-mart is essentially
Sears these days. If you have a contact at Sears, I'd employ their
assistance.Leah Halpin wrote:>> Did you try Martha Stewart?> >
