The OBOE servlet for testing HIPAA transactions has been updated to work with the HIPAA 5010 specifications. The present code will parse and validate the structure of your message and do intra-segment validation; I am still developing the servlet to handle inter-segments rules.
Go to http://www.americancoders.com/servlet/HIPAAServlet Like the 4010 HIPAA OBOE servlet it's important to have the GS08, and for 5010 the ST03, using the correct Implementation Convention Reference. e.g. 005010X212 for the 276 and 277 messages. Similarly, to test the two flavors of the 278 message requires using specific values in the ISA06 field. To test the 278 Request specify "request" in ISA06 and to test the 278 Response use "response"; these values are case-sensitive. In all cases if the Implementation Convention Reference is not correct the servlet will default to the plain X12 4010 specifications and will, in all likelihood, generate a bunch of error messages.
