This should not be an issue - I've dealt with many trading partners who have blanks in their sender id with no issues. When you say stuck in the VAN, do you mean you can see them in your mailbox or they never make it to your mailbox on the VAN. My guess is it is likely a setup issue and someone forgot to put the blanks in the sender or receiver id's somewhere along the line. Have you confirmed with your VAN's tech support that they are actually getting to the VAN?
