You need to remember that {Major Worldwide Retailer] has *at least* three
(3) different "EDI groups" ...
- The stores group - EDI orders, resale inventory
- The Fixtures group - EDI orders, store fixtures for new stores/ new
departments within stores
- The .com group - EDI for [Major Worldwide Retailer].COM orders
While I have had good interface with all three groups, it is my opinion that
working "stores" group would represent a promotion for any [Major Worldwide
Retailer] employee currently providing EDI Vendor Support for either
Fixtures or ".COM"
But perhaps you are dealing with yet another group... because but I've never
encountered any "missing documents" problems with any of these three
groups... going back to the mid-1990s and at least 20 group-implementations
(new EDI vendors and upgrades).
While [Major Worldwide Retailer] is still castigated for its vendor EDI
support (or lack thereof) fifteen years ago (and rightly so at the time), I
have found them competent, cooperative, helpful and nothing but professional
for the last ten years.
