I sent a BookTrade Editeur Invoice to your test service. For each of the
line item groups it picked up two faults
Message nr 1, type INVOICD96AUNEAN008, [F04]: Record "[['UNH'], ['LIN'],
['GIR']]" subfield "C206#1.7402" is mandatory: "{'C206#1.7405': u'LAC',
'7297': u'001', 'C206#2.7405': u'LLO', 'C206#2.7402': u'ENPALM',
'BOTSIDnr': u'1', 'C206#3.7405': u'LFN', 'BOTSID': u'GIR',
'C206#3.7402': u'AF/C/ECL/ECL'}".
Now this is a horrible report line to interpret, but you were objecting
to the first 7402 element. The actual segment was:
GIR+001+ :LAC+ENPALM:LLO+AF/C/ECL/ECL:LFN'
OK, the branch code was missing, and the converter had been flagged in
that circumstance to generate a single blank in the output field; thus
breaking the compression rules, but not formally omitting a mandatory
field. Had it been GIR+001+:LAC+.... then the report of a mandatory
violation would have been justified but for GIR+001+ :LAC+... it
strictly speaking should not have been.
I will admit this is a grey area.
The second error report was entirely justified:
Message nr 1, type INVOICD96AUNEAN008, [S04]: Record "[['UNH'], ['LIN'],
['TAX'], ['MOA']]" occurs 2 times, max is 1.
There were actually two MOA segments even though the EDIFACT
specification was for one only. The community requires two, so the
converter is told to accept two. Such is life.
The reports are not easy to interpret, but from that single test it
looks as though you are offering a useful service.
Regards
Chris
