We've been very happy with ECom VAN: reliability, customer service, self
service via web, etc.
Due to a merger we also have Sterling Commerce VAN ( which I've also used
previously) and it also deserves the favorable comments others are giving it.

In my experience (nearly thirty years EDI/VANs) the 'cheapest' is never the
least costly.

Also I have to ask why exactly your Chief *Financial* Officer would be the one
to set the criteria for what is, after all, a
*customer service* function. (I don't expect an answer. I do, however, expect
you to think about it.)

FWIW I too will endorse Sterling here. You don't need "customer service" very
often but when you need it you REALLY need it, and
when you need it, Sterling's customer service is excellent!
