Please, *don't* do that. Please read http://david.woodhou.se/reply-to-list.html which covers the issues to think about when making that decision. In summary (but seriously, please do read the above link): If you reply to the list only, you often cut people (and other cross-posted mailing lists) out of the discussion *entirely*. It's extremely rude and unhelpful. If you 'reply all' and keep others in Cc, there is only a *minor* annoyance for some people who didn't want a second copy. Which is fairly trivial for them to fix, by asking the list not to send them a copy when they're in To:/Cc:, and/or tweaking their filters if they have them to file messages which are To/Cc the list into the relevant folder too. This 'reply to list' thing is an abomination and should be stopped. -- dwmw2
