I concur with these sentiments. I also agree with the suggestion that
restricting the list to subscribers is the better alternative. Subscribing
takes very little time and less effort - and if someone wants to ask
questions, or make suggestions, or generally get involved in the interst of
the list, even minimally, it is certainly reasonable that they take that
little bit of trouble and subscribe.
