Huh? Pls, elaborate. 

Is it 51 obs and 30 vars (since you said: more obs than vars) or 30
subjects and 51 variables, or n subjects with 30 observations in each
of the 51 variables? Do the variables differ by content (body weight,
IQ etc) or do they belong to the same class (eg. frequencies in EEG)?
