Indeed.  Or, as Moms Mabley said "the good old days, I was there, were
was they?"

OTOH, I have read that much of the idea of Einstein's poor grades in
school comes from a misunderstanding of the grading system in the
schools of the time.

Einstein was considered slow at math also, which leads me to suspect
