Stan, I sure wish I had thought of this! I just unplugged my P3 Serial connection. I then checked my audio after already following some other user transmitter equalizer suggestions to confirm what I had already done. Don't need to do it again, unless I buy another mic ... not likely, as I love the Heil Gold line 4 and 5 ( I use 5 unless trying to make Euro contacts from the Midwest) elements. I no longer invite on-air requests for "how do I sound" any more. Seems as everyone comes out of the woodwork and the sound only pleases the ones with the loudest or most aggressive responses. I want penetration of signal based on a clean signal based on what I want. The P3 helps me see my signal visually. I have a penetrating signal, not a broadcast signal.

Transmit, and voila!, your signal is visible. To turn the default behavior back on, just restore the baud rate to 38400 and exit the Config menu. You could even assign a menu command to a PF key to accomplish this. Seems to work here. Is there any problem with doing this? ----- 73, Stan - KR7C -- ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
